How we work

  • Initial Consultation

Once you email jenny@anhourearned.co.uk or phone us on 07913 872 704 we’ll arrange an initial consultation either by phone, video call or face to face if you’re local, to talk about your goals, stresses, pain points and biggest challenges. Together we’ll prioritise, and then we’ll get to work.

During the consultation you can book blocks of time with us or book us for a one-off project and we’ll agree a date, fee and invoicing structure.

  • Our Process

You decide what you need and when you need it, then we’ll get to work. That may mean we’ll spend the day at your house overseeing the work you have going on or we’ll be out and about running your errands. If you need us to we can also liaise with your tradespeople as well to make sure work is completed on time.

We’re always available by email, text and phone if you want to add or change tasks or want an update.

  • On-going Service

Most of our clients start off booking us on an as-needed basis before being bitten by the bug of having that little extra help so we offer our time by the hour and you can book by phone or email.

If you need more of our time you can book us in monthly blocks of 5, 10, 15 hours or more and add on more time as needed. Travel up to 20 miles is included in our hourly rate after that we charge 45p per mile.

  • Hourly Rates

FAQs

What’s a personal concierge and why on earth do I need one?

A personal concierge is someone who takes on all the jobs you don’t want, or don’t have time, to do. If it’s something you’d ask a PA or hotel concierge to do, the chances are we do it.

There are so many benefits to hiring a personal concierge. We’ll help save you time and stress and to stop wasting your precious time doing things you don’t want to. We’ll help simplify your life and give you the time back to do the things you enjoy, instead of the things you don’t!

In essence - you work really hard so that you can earn money to do fun things you enjoy, you don’t want to spend your spare time on boring errands or sit around while your plumber is wokring and with An Hour Earned you don’t have to!

Can a request a service that’s not on your website?

Of course! We make every effort to accommodate requests as long as they’re safe, legal and ethical. If there’s something you’d like to request just ask and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

Will you keep my data and information safe?

Yes of course, we’re registered with the Information Commissioners Office and take the protection of your data and information very seriously. You can read more about our privacy policy here.

Are you available 24/7?

We do need to sleep sometimes! Our schedule is very flexible but general hours are 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday and we can be available evenings and weekends if needed, although surcharges may apply.

Ideally we prefer 48 hours notice for tasks but emergencies arise and life happens so if you need to get in touch out of hours just drop us a call, text or email and we’ll respond as soon as we can.

Who uses a personal concierge?

In a word — anyone! Our clients include harassed parents, overworked professionals, elderly people needing their errands run and even small businesses who some help but don’t need a full-time member of staff.

If you feel like there’s too much to do and not enough time and a helping hand in daily life would be useful a personal concierge can be invaluable.

Where do you work?

As our service is so personal we offer our services to clients who live within 10 miles of WD24.

Are there any extra charges?

Travel up to 20 miles is included in our rate but if you need us to go further afield we charge 45p a mile. Apart from that any purchases, bookings or services you ask us to make will be included on your invoice at cost. If the value is over £50 we will ask you to make payment in advance.

What qualifications do you have? Are you insured and DBS checked?

There are no formal qualifications to be a personal concierge but I’ve spent almost 20 years organising, planning and delivering to deadlines. You can find out more about me here.

We have public and professional liability insurance and are DBS checked.
